This device is called D-Link DWR-2010 5G NR which is a 5G router. Where instead of connecting via cable it uses a SIM card and of course needs to be connected to the power grid. From there and using the MMWave and 6GHz frequencies of the 5G generation, it creates a Wi-Fi connection.
At present, there is no commercial offer for 5G services and will not be launched until the second half of 2019. In fact, it is expected that the operators themselves will market these devices later to provide the best Internet service up to a speed of more than 1 Gigabit per second.
The 5G D-Link DWR-2010 5G NR router features the Qualcomm Snapdragon X55 chip inside and not only offers Wi-Fi connectivity to our local network, but also has five Gigabit Ethernet ports.
At the moment, it may sound like a low-end device, but when the fifth-generation communications start, it may be a substitute for optical fiber to use one of these devices on a 5G scale in areas where there is no fixed broadband infrastructure. Or to provide a high-speed Internet connection when we travel.
